About Me

Max Buffie

Personal Trainer – Fitness Coach

My Story:

I have always been drawn to the idea of breaking my limits and becoming stronger.  I started as a little kid with a number of sports and went on to perform competitively in Track & Field and Cross Country in high school at Minnehaha Academy.  Whether it was the 100-meter dash or the height I achieved in the pole vault, I always tried my hardest to keep doing better than the last time.  When I went on to St. Olaf College I stopped playing sports and switched over to weight lifting in my free time, learning to love the tranquility of the gym and the feeling of accomplishment as I saw more improvement in my physique.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from St. Olaf College in 2016.  I have since used that knowledge as a strong foundation that I have begun to build upon over the past few years and am continuing to do so every day.

In the summer of 2017 I earned my NASM Personal Trainer certification and began my career at Renegade Fitness.  This certification has not only given me the knowledge to help others in their endeavors but has also helped me to attain my own!

Many people want to climb mountains, hike the Grand Canyon, bike around Spain, or run a marathon.  But everyone wants to have the energy to shovel the driveway or play with his or her grandkids, and I believe this kind of thing is the way to do it. Whatever your goals, I look forward to helping you meet them and giving you the strength to challenge the world!
